Busy times!

We've had a busy few weeks since I last posted. The weather has gone from cold and rainy to hot and sunny. Although I wish we had more of a spring, I am thrilled to have the warmer weather. It makes life so much nicer when I don't have to put coats on the boys and when we can get outside and play every day. It also means we are closer to meeting this new little one. I have had several ultrasounds and it makes me even more excited to see this little guy around the first of July. Still no name...but we are definitely working on it! Here are some pictures from last week:

My little man showing off before Church last week. This is one of my favorite outfits...Carter wore it when he was 2 as well. :) Seth LOVES clothes! Every time he gets dressed he wants to show off what he has on. Okay, I had to dig up the picture of Carter in the same outfit two years ago. Here it is:
Wow-he looks so little!

The boys love their raincoats. Uncle Spencer and Aunt Katie gave them to the boys for their birthdays. We have had lots of opportunities to wear them lately.

I swear I did not make my child vacuum. He LOVES it! It takes me forever to get anything done because he insists on helping. I know I should enjoy it because it will probably change too soon!

This weekend was especially busy. We asked my mom and dad to come down this weekend to help us with everything. Zach left the house first on Saturday morning (at 5 am!) to head downtown for the Music City Half-Marathon. He has been training for 4 months and did awesome! It was a very hot day for a race, but he really enjoyed it. Unforunately, I was not able to go down and see him race because I had to take Carter to get his soccer pictures made at 7:30 that morning. Mom and Dad brought Seth to the soccer game after the pictures so we could all watch Carter play. He is really enjoying soccer and loved having his family there to watch him. He can't wait to have his Grandma and Grandpa come watch him in a few weeks. That afternoon we moved the crib out of Seth's room and into the nursery. We also set up Seth's big boy bed and he loves it! He did so good last night and stayed in his bed all night. I think he loves having a bed like his big brother! Here are some pictures from Saturday:

So proud of him!! Hope to get pictures soon of him running during the race!

My baby in his big boy bed!

On Sunday we traveled to Kentucky to visit my grandmother. She celebrated her birthday on Saturday and we wanted to make her weekend special. The boys love visiting their extended family and really enjoyed getting outside today to play with everyone. It was a good end to a great weekend! I think we will all sleep good tonight!

Easter weekend

We had a great Easter weekend! Despite the cooler temperatures, we were still able to participate in a couple of egg hunts and the boys were able to wear their Easter outfits on Sunday. :) Zach's parents came down on Friday afternoon to spend some time with the boys. They had a lot of fun playing together and coloring eggs.

Coloring eggs with Daddy, Mommy, Grandma and Grandpa.

On Saturday morning, we attended our church egg hunt. The boys had so much fun playing on the playground and found so many eggs. We had a nice lunch and then it was time to head home (it was pretty cold outside!).

I'm pretty sure Carter is helping Seth find eggs here, not taking them from his basket!

They both liked the Easter Bunny this year!

On Sunday, the boys woke up and were excited to see what the Easter bunny had left them (actually they forgot about it until we reminded them :) ). They were very excited about all the treats in their baskets! The Easter Bunny also left them a fish tank and they LOVE it! They ask all the time if it is time to feed the fish. We took them on Monday afternoon to pick out their fish. Carter named both fish - Goldie and Boxy (not sure where he came up with that name). The boys watch the fish all the time and Seth even tells the fish to look when he tries to shoot a basket in the playroom. It is really cute!

Going through their baskets Sunday morning.

After church we went out to eat and spent the rest of the afternoon at home. We had some friends over Sunday afternoon to hunt eggs and eat dinner. We've done something together for the last several years. Seth started the egg hunt, but after 2 eggs, he announced that he just wanted to go play. Two egg hunts in one weekend was plenty for him! Carter had a lot of fun with his friends. It was a great day together!

Trying to get a good picture after lunch. The boys had stains on their shirts and just wanted to play...I wish I could post all the pictures. They are so funny - their expressions are precious (and silly)!

Owensboro

After Carter's first soccer game, we left for Owensboro. My entire family planned to gather there and spend a long weekend together. Spencer, Katie, Ella Ann and Rane were able to come up from Atlanta and Craig came from Nashville (we missed Kasey!). It was a great weekend and so nice to spend time together. The kids had SO much fun and were sad to leave each other Monday afternoon. Once we got there, my boys never even went in the house. They played outside until dinner was ready and they had to go inside. We had an egg hunt for all the kids and they loved hunting eggs in the backyard.

Ready for their egg hunt!

We were all able to go to church together on Sunday and spent the rest of the day playing at the house. The boys love playing with Ella Ann and love to hold and kiss on Rane. Seth still talks about Baby Rane every day. It makes me really excited to see them with their new baby brother this summer!

All 4 of us (or 5 of us) before church!

Poor Rane couldn't open his eyes because the sun was so bright. Ella Ann is such a good big sister!

An updated picture with Papa and Nana!

Opening up their Easter goodies from Nana and Papa. They loved their presents!

Seth holding his little buddy, Rane. You have to stay close by because when he is done holding him, he just kinda tosses him back to you. Rane is such a good sport when we all pass him around!

Zach and Craig left after dinner on Sunday. Spencer and his family left on Monday afternoon. The boys and I stayed until Tuesday morning. They are always sad to leave, but were ready to get home and see their Daddy. Seth kept saying "tackle Daddy" on the way home. :) It was a great weekend!!

First soccer game

Carter had his first soccer game last Saturday. He loves going to soccer practice and was very excited to have his first game, although he was a little nervous before the game. They play with 5 kids from each team on the field and the coaches are on the field as well. There is not a goalie. Unfortunately, Carter never really got into the game. He ran around a lot, but never did feel comfortable enough to jump in and go after the ball. It was a little hard to watch after a while, but we're confident that over time he'll feel comfortable enough to get in there and go after the ball. We're proud of our little athlete!

At the house, ready to go play!

Before the game starts.

Taking his turn on the sideline. Even though he didn't score or go after the ball very much, he did have a lot of fun!

Preschool Activities

Last week Carter had his Spring Program at preschool. He also had his class Easter egg hunt. He had so much fun both days. Tuesday was a nice day for the hunt. It was over in about 3 minutes because the kids were so excited to get the eggs. It was hard to get good pictures - Carter was running around so fast. I think Seth was a little disappointed at first that he didn't get to participate, but he was fine playing on the playground and watching the older kids run around.

Pausing very briefly for a picture!

Showing off his "loot"!

Ready to eat the yummy treats!

Carter's spring program was on Thursday. They did a Noah's Ark theme and each class sang about a different part of the story. Carter's class sang about building the ark and obeying God. He was so excited to sing on stage. He has been singing the songs around the house for the last few weeks. Seth loved watching Carter on stage. He sat in my lap and didn't move the entire time. It was so nice!

Giving Daddy and Grandma a big smile. Seth and I were down front on the floor so we could see.

Carter LOVES preschool! We are so blessed with a great school and great teachers. I can't wait for Seth to experience the same thing next year (and he can't either)!!
